A Buffalo man faces assault charges after police said he head-butted another man before fighting with police officers early Sunday morning.
Richard J. Cryan, 30, of Maurice Street, approached another man just after 1 a.m. in the Seneca-Babcock area and head-butted the man, causing a cut and bleeding to the man’s face and hands, police said.
The victim tried to defend himself but suffered a broken right hand and the lacerations to his face, police said. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital.
Cryan refused to be handcuffed, police said, fighting with officers and injuring one officer. He was arrested on assault charges.
