JAMESTOWN – Employees at two bars were cited for serving alcohol to minors following a detail to ensure compliance with the state’s alcohol beverage control laws conducted Saturday in Chautauqua County.
Members of the State Police, Jamestown police and the State Liquor Authority checked out 12 bars in Jamestown and the surrounding area and found employees at 10 of the establishments refused to serve an underage person taking part in the detail.
Bartenders at two taverns were issued appearance tickets for serving alcohol to a minor: David A. Eriksen, 40, of Jamestown, who works at the Road-House Bar & Grill, East Second Street, Jamestown, and Ashley A. Shaffer, 24, of Dunkirk, who works at Doons, Water Street, Fredonia.
