Two people with prior drunk driving convictions were arrested overnight on felony counts of driving while intoxicated.

The first arrest came at about 8 p.m. when an Erie County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a non-injury accident on Creek Road in the Town of Sardinia.

The driver, identified as Dustin Linsler, 32, of Springville, allegedly left the scene but was soon tracked down. He was found to be intoxicated and charged with DWI.

At the sheriff’s Springville substation, a chemical breath test indicated Linsler’s blood alcohol content level was .20 percent – two-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Linsler had a prior conviction for DWI in February 2008. Because of the high BAC and the prior conviction, Linsler was charged with felony and aggravated DWI, along with several other vehicle and traffic violations.

He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Sardinia court.

Then shortly before 3 a.m., a deputy found Aaron Conant, 27, of Brant, slumped over in a vehicle on Erie Road on the Seneca Nation Reservation. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested. He refused to take a chemical breath test. Conant had a prior conviction for DWI from June 2011 which upgraded his charge to felony DWI.

He was taken to the holding center pending arraignment in the Town of Brant court.
