NIAGARA FALLS – A 43-year-old man said he arrived home and found that his door had been kicked in and his house was ransacked, sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of McKoon Avenue.

Officers found damage to a side door and door knob and a rear window was smashed. Inside the belongings were strewn about as if someone were looking for something.

The victim said that a desktop computer and several DVDs were missing. Loss and damage were listed at $1,050.

A liquor bottle was removed from the refrigerator and placed on the bed in a back bedroom and an officer said fingerprints were found on the bottle. Fresh footprints were found in the yard behind the residence, which led to railroad tracks and then south towards the Apple Walk Apartments, according to police.
