An 18-year-old Buffalo man pleaded guilty Wednesday before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to robbing three M&T bank branches in Buffalo and Niagara Falls since last August.

Michael Bland faces a prison term of up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine when he is returned to court for sentencing at 12:30 p.m. June 16.

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. said Bland admitted robbing the branch at 1300 Jefferson Avenue, the branch at 750 Main Street in Niagara Falls, and the branch at 1877 Main Street in Buffalo between last Aug. 21 and Sept. 4. Buffalo and Niagara Falls police and the FBI were involved in Bland’s arrest, Hochul said.
