Inside, a gun safe was damaged in an attempt to pry the door open, but was not breached. However three Playstation 3 games in original packaging valued at $60 each were stolen as well as a box of jewelry, which was valued at $5,000 or more.

Meanwhile, a man told deputies that he received a telephone call from First Niagara in Amherst at 1 p.m. Monday, telling him that someone had tried to remove money from his bank account using an old driver’s license. He said someone at has workplace had seen a man walking away from his truck and he was unsure whether the license was taken from his truck or from his home.

The couple told deputies that a family member may be a suspect in the case.
