A purse, wallet and various electronic items were taken Saturday during a smash-and-grab spree that involved three cars in different locations on Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo police said.
Just before 6 p.m. at L.A. Fitness, 1893 Elmwood, a man told police he noticed a window of his car had been smashed and a items worth $1,200 were missing.
About 6:15 p.m., at Best Fitness, 1999 Elmwood, a man said a wallet was taken from his car. Police believe entry was through a shattered window.
And at 7:30 p.m., a woman reported a theft from her car parked at the Amvets Thrift Store, 1833 Elmwood. Police said her window had been smashed and a purse taken.
