A man accused of making statements about a missing shipment of copper and brass is going to prison for 18 months.
Michael T. Henson, 51, of Fowerville, Mich., was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara after previously pleading guilty.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango said Henson was contracted to transport 20 tons of copper and brass by tractor trailer from Buffalo to Arkansas and Texas.
Mango said the shipment, which was valued at approximately $130,000, was never delivered to its intended recipients, and Henson told the FBI that he had dumped the load along a rural road in Arkansas when in fact he had not.
