Courts closed Tuesday

All State Supreme, County, Family, Surrogate’s and City courts in Western New York will be closed Tuesday due to severe weather conditions, according to court officials.

Court employees are not to report to work, all jurors are excused, and all cases scheduled for Tuesday are adjourned, the district’s executive Andrew Isenberg said Monday.

The closing applies to courts in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans and Wyoming counties as well as city courts in Buffalo, Batavia, Dunkirk, Lackawanna, Lockport, Jamestown, Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda, Olean, Salamanca and Tonawanda.

Wyoming County grand jurors summoned for Tuesday are to report at 9 a.m. Wednesday to the courthouse at 147 North Main St., Warsaw. For more information, contact the Wyoming County Commissioner of Jurors Office at 585-786-8756 or www.nycourts.gov.

Cattaraugus County jurors summoned for Tuesday are not to report. Jury service there has been postponed to 9 a.m. Wednesday. Jurors summoned to appear should call 938-2383 for further reporting instructions after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Genesee County grand jurors summoned for Tuesday are not to report. Their service has been postponed to 9 a.m. next Tuesday at the Genesee County Courts Facility in Batavia.
