LOCKPORT – Defense attorney Angelo Musitano urged the incarceration of one of his clients Friday, and Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas followed his advice.
She sentenced Wendy M. Sheehan, 33, of Niagara Falls Boulevard, Wheatfield, to a year in the County Jail for her guilty plea to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Sheehan sold $50 worth of cocaine to a police informant in Niagara Falls on Oct. 25, 2012. She pleaded guilty in July, about a month before she gave birth to her third child.
Musitano called Sheehan an addict and said he couldn’t recommend probation because she needs to be away from the drug scene.
Musitano told Farkas, “She needs time out … If she doesn’t change, she’s going to destroy herself and her three beautiful children.”
