NIAGARA FALLS – An Ashland Avenue woman was attacked and robbed Friday night by a male acquaintance she let into her home to use the telephone, police said.
The victim told police she answered a knock at her door about 7:25 p.m., when the acquaintance asked to use the phone. She was punched and kicked repeatedly before the man took the cellphone, money from a dresser drawer and a coat before fleeing on a bicycle, police said.
The victim was treated for head injuries.
