Three homemade pop bottle bombs exploded early today in Lockport and South Buffalo.
Two of the pop bottle bombs were discovered on a cul-de-sac street in the Town of Lockport, police reported.
One bomb had already detonated by the time police arrived around 3:12 a.m., and the second detonated soon after, police said. The bombs were contained in a plastic Gatorade and two-liter pop bottles.
Meanwhile, a Columbus Avenue man reported that a two-liter pop bottle filled with an unknown fluid and aluminum foil was thrown from a vehicle and exploded in his driveway this morning around 9 a.m., Buffalo police reported.
A police report describes the occupants of the blue vehicle as two males, a female and a child. One of the passengers was wearing a blue bandanna, according to the report.
Police said the homemade bombs are extremely volatile and should not be approached or touched.
