A thief forced entry into a Buffalo police officer’s locked vehicle and stole a wallet containing the officer’s credit cards, drivers license, and police department work ID, police reported Sunday.
The officer reported that his vehicle was parked outside his home when, sometime Saturday or Sunday, an unknown suspect forced the passenger-side window open, pried open the glovebox and made off with the wallet.
The officer was among the 21 police cadets who in January were sworn in and began a 6-month training period to go on patrol.
