A man was robbed at gunpoint of $400 in cash, a large amount of jewelry and his hat and sneakers, Northeast District police said early Saturday.
The robbery occurred at East Delavan and Courtland avenues. The victim said two men were following him, but one left before the other jammed a chrome-colored gun into his back and demanded “everything.”
The victim surrendered his money; a watch, bracelet, necklace, earrings and three rings, valued at a total of $1,575; a $125 pair of Nike sneakers; and a $100 “True Religion” hat.
The robber fled on foot through neighborhood backyards, the victim told police.
