Man robbed a gunpoint in his Niagara Falls home

NIAGARA FALLS – A 42-year-old Niagara Avenue man told police a man wearing a black ski mask forced his way into his home at gunpoint, beat him and robbed him of cash at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim said someone knocked on his door and when he opened the door he was staring down the barrel of revolver. He said the man entered his apartment in the 1600 block of Niagara Avenue and demanded cash. He said when he told the man he didn’t have any cash the man hit him in the head with the revolver. The two men wrestled and the suspect took $120 from the victim’s pocket before he left, according to police.

The suspect was described as six feet tall, weighing 150 pounds. Police said they recovered black gloves believed to have been left behind by the suspect.
