A man brandishing a 12-inch knife tried to rob a South Buffalo liquor store, before an employee chased him away.
The man on Friday walked into South Park Liquors, 1605 South Park Ave., displayed the knife to the owner and demanded cash from the register, police said.
The owner yelled to her son, who was in the rear of the store, alerting him to the trouble. The suspect – a white male with a thin build, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and dark coat – ran out of the store with the employee chasing after him.
Police reports did not indicate the time of the incident.
