A 25-year-old man linked by DNA evidence to a sex act against a six-week old infant has pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual act, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Jason Salois, no address available, faces 25 years in prison when sentenced by Erie County Judge Kenneth F. Case on April 2.
Salois admitted to sodomizing the infant on Jan. 4, the District Attorney’s Office said.
Salois was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending his sentence.
District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III credited the Buffalo Police Department’s sex offense squad.
“Because of their excellent police work a depraved degenerate will be in prison for a lengthy period of time,” Sedita said.
