ELBA – Three women were injured, one seriously, after a two-car crash on Route 98 in the Genesee County town of Elba about 8:05 p.m. Saturday. Jessica A. Deskins, 16, was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit of Erie County Medical Center this morning.

She was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by Ashley N. Deskins, 18, of Hall Road, Holley. Deskins was released after treatment in ECMC. The other driver, Gina A. Delelys, 41, of Log City Road, Elba, was released after treatment in United Memorial Medical Center, Batavia.

Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin R. McCarthy reported that Deskins’ southbound car was traveling too fast for the snowy road conditions and crossed the center line into the path of Delelys’ northbound auto. Delelys said this morning that the impact was on the passenger side of Deskins’ car, a 2000 Dodge Neon.

McCarthy reported that Deskins’ car ran off the road into a field after impact, while Deleys’ car remained on the pavement. No charges have been filed.
