A Grand Island man was is serious condition at Erie County Medical Center after he was struck by a car on Stony Point Road Friday night, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 8 p.m., Stephen Turner, 62, parked his vehicle in the southbound lane of Stony Point, went to get some of his belongings and had stepped back into the southbound lane when he was struck by a 2003 Audi, driven by Joshua Khreis, 23, of Grand Island, investigators said.
Turner was treated at the scene by Grand Island Fire Company. He was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC.
The incident remained under investigation Saturday.
