Erie County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol overnight Friday made at least three drunk driving arrests.
Just before midnight in the Village of Springville, a deputy on Pearl Street at East Main Street was nearly struck by a vehicle making an improper turn.
The driver, Matthew Golabek, 78, of Springville was pulled over and found to be intoxicated.
His blood alcohol content level was measured at .18 percent, more than twice the legal limit. He was released to a family member on an appearance ticket.
Then at a few minutes after midnight, a deputy on patrol in the Town of Elma found a car stopped in the middle of Rice Road with the driver passed out at the wheel.
Anthony Ambrose, 26, of Lancaster, was charged with for DWI. A breath test showed his BAC level was .13 percent. He was released to family members on an appearance ticket.
And at about 1:30 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to investigate an injury accident on Transit Road in Clarence.
Felicia McDowell, 21, was found to be intoxicated. Her address was not immediately available.
McDowell was arrested for DWI and taken to Erie County Medical Center where her blood was drawn to determine her BAC. She was released on an appearance ticket.
