PORTLAND – A Brocton was arrested by troopers from Fredonia on charges of aggravated unlicensed driving and marijuana possession after a traffic stop on state Route 20 about 10:40 p.m. Sunday.
Jennifer Thornton, 29, of Lake Avenue, was stopped for having an insecure front license plate, troopers said. They said they smelled pot smoke and found about 4½ grams of marijuana and a smoking pipe containing marijuana residue in the car.
A check also showed Thornton’s license and registration were recently suspended because she did not have insurance on the vehicle. She was ordered to appear in Portland Town Court Feb. 5.
