A Sloan mother faces a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully dealing with a child for allegedly providing beer for her 17-year-old son’s party over the weekend, Cheektowaga Police announced Wednesday.
Police were alerted to the underage drinking party at a home on Jackson Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. Sunday. There they found 14 people under the age of 21 drinking beer in an upstairs room, police said. The youngest guest was 15.
The owner of the house, Denise Anderson, 47, who is the mother of a 17-year-old boy hosting the party, admitted buying the beer for the party.
She was released on an appearance ticket.
The young people called their parents, who came to the house to pick them up.
