LOCKPORT – Charles K. Schuman, 29, of Washington Street, Lockport, pleaded not guilty Thursday to a 15-count indictment charging him with violating restraining orders and assaulting his ex-girlfriend in the City of Lockport July 29, Sept. 1 and Sept. 15.
Schuman is charged with five counts of first-degree criminal contempt, two counts each of aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault and criminal mischief, and single counts of attempted second-degree assault and petit larceny.
Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas boosted Schuman’s bail from $500 to $25,000.
