LOCKPORT – Alvin W. Baines, who stabbed another man Sept. 29 near 47th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls, was sentenced Monday to a year in Niagara County Jail by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.
Baines, 41, of 68th Street, had admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree assault in the attack on John Blevins.
Farkas noted that Baines already has served about four months of his sentence.
