A man who police said robbed the Key Bank on Amherst Street late this morning escaped on foot and was last seen heading north on Tonawanda Street in a burgundy Lexus.
The robbery occurred shortly before 11 a.m. at 201 Amherst, police said.
The man handed the teller a demand note and was given a dye pack, which he placed in his jacket pocket, police said.
Police described the suspect as a black male, about 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He wore dark sweat pants with a white stripe and a dark hooded sweatshirt under a green jacket, police said.
