Hamburg police about 10:30 p.m. tonight were investigating an abandoned vehicle that was struck by a freight train on tracks near Bayview Road near Willowdale Avenue.
Police have located the owners of the Jeep passenger vehicle that was left on the track. The abandoned vehicle was empty and no one on the freight train was injured by the collision. The Jeep is listed as destroyed. Police said the train was not damaged.
