MAYVILLE – A 43-year-old Gerry man was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail here Sunday after sheriff’s deputies broke up a street fight between him and another man on Thorton Road in the Town of Ellington – and found he had a gravity knife, sheriff’s officials said.
William Ziebart was initially arrested on just a harassment charge at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday for the fight but a criminal possession of a weapon count was added when the gravity knife was found.
He is being held without bail pending further proceedings on Ellington Town Court.
