ALLEGANY – The arrest of an unlicensed 27-year-old Allegany man for allegedly drunkenly rear-ending a car stopped behind a working school bus a week ago was announced Monday by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Dustin C. Cooney of South 9 Mile Road, Allegany was charged with DWI, moving from lanes unsafely, following to closely and unlicensed driving for the incident on 4 Mile Road in the Town of Allegany about 8 a.m. last Tuesday.
Cooney is accused of passing one vehicle and then veering back into the left lane only rear-end a car stopped behind a school bus with its stop lights flashing. After the no-injury accident he was arraigned in Olean Town Court and released without bail pending further court proceedings in Allegany Town Court in several weeks.
