LOCKPORT – Marcus A. Walton, who was accused of violating an order of protection Feb. 7 by entering his former girlfriend’s apartment and damaging some of her clothes with bleach, pleaded guilty to a felony Tuesday in Niagara County Court.
Walton, 34, of Lincoln Place, Lockport, could go to prison for as long as four years when he is sentenced for first-degree criminal contempt May 13 by County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Assistant District Attorney John N. Philipps Jr. said $641 in restitution is also part of the plea deal, which involved the dismissal of three other cases pending against Walton in Lockport Town Court.
Walton said he is on medication for paranoid schizophrenia, with which he was diagnosed six years ago. He has two daughters with the victim.
