Three arrested in Medina drug bust

MEDINA – Cocaine, heroin, guns, pills, and a drug known as bath salts were found and three persons were arrested after raids at two Church Street addresses in Medina on Wednesday. In addition thousands of pirated videos and counterfeit merchandise were seized at the Biz Nest, a clothing store on Main Street in Albion, after a year long investigation into sales and distribution of crack cocaine and marijuana conducted by a number of agencies and led by the Orleans County Drug Task Force.

Brenton O. Poole, 28, and Erika H. Poole, 34, both the same address on Church St. were each charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. The Pooles own the Biz Nest.

Norman H. Bloom, Jr., 26, of a different address on Church Street. was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.

All three were arraigned in Town of Albion Court, and the investigation is continuing.

As a result of the search at the Biz Nest, police seized more than over 1,000 pirated DVD movies which were being sold, as well as counterfeit clothing and merchandise.
