LOCKPORT – Two persons who had pleaded guilty to misdemeanors in separate cases after originally being charged with felonies were each sentenced to three years’ probation Thursday by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Colleen D. Vinson, 45, of Ewings Road, Newfane, had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving while intoxicated after her fourth alcohol-related driving arrest in the past decade, which came after her vehicle struck a tree on South Main Street in Newfane about 10 p.m. May 17.
Anthony J. Pettitt, 21, of Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, was placed on probation for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested after a Nov. 26, 2012, police raid on his home at the time, on 24th Street in the Falls. Police said he had 1.55 grams of cocaine and some oxymorphone.
