A woman who posed as someone else while living illegally in the U.S. was sentenced Wednesday by Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny to a year in prison.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo said Elizabeth Reid came here from Canada and when confronted in July by Border Patrol Agents told them her name was Elizabeth Ortiz.
Reid was later convicted of making a false statement.
