LOCKPORT – State Police in Lockport charged a Buffalo man on Thursday with allegedly stealing items from a home in Lockport and then selling them for cash in Buffalo.
Steven J. Mouery, 40, of Gallatin Street was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Lockport Court before Justice Cheryl Antkowiak and remanded to Niagara County Jail on $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond. A return court date was set for next Thursday.
The theft was reported by a Lockport homeowner on Sunday. The victim told troopers that money, video games, jewelry and a cell phone were stolen. The homeowner suspected that a relative may have been involved who had access to the residence at the time of the theft. The items were valued at $1,000.
