A complaint about a reckless driver on Grand Island led to the arrest of a 65-year-old town resident, according to Erie County sheriff’s deputies.
The report about someone driving recklessly on Whitehaven Road came in shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, deputies said. When the vehicle was pulled over, deputies found that Claudia Preve was intoxicated; a breath test indicated a blood-alcohol content of .19.
Preve was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, because her BAC reading exceeded .18 percent, deputies said. She was released on tickets to appear in Grand Island Town Court.
