LEON – A 31-year-old Leon man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly beating up a woman friend in front of a young child in a Smith Road home in the Town of Leon. Brian J. Herman was charged by state police with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He faces further proceedings in Leon Town Court in several weeks.
