TOWN OF LOCKPORT – A woman in an apartment building in the 6400 block of Dysinger Road has made claims that people are using the building’s laundry room to make drug transfers.

The woman told deputies that drug dealers were leaving drugs in the washer or dryer for people to pick up. No drugs were located by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies, but three men were found in a third floor laundry room at 3 a.m. on Sunday. The men said they were there to pick up a man named Shaq, but didn’t know which apartment he lived in and could not explain why they were in the laundry room at 3 a.m., reported deputies.

After deputies checked for warrants, one of the three men, Jeffrey K. Sidebottom, 34, of Park Avenue, Middleport, was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from Family Court. Additionally Sidebottom, who admitted to driving the others, was found to be driving without a license and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation.

The case was turned over to the Niagara County Drug Task Force, according to a sheriff’s report.
