A vehicle reported stolen at knifepoint Friday in Riverside was recovered Saturday night when five males abandoned it on the East Side while being pursued by officers responding to a robbery call, Buffalo police reported.
The owner of a white 2011 Cadillac was forced out of his vehicle Friday at Tonawanda Street and Riverside Avenue by an unknown male, according to a report.
C District police responded around 11:45 p.m. to a robbery in the 500 block of Woodlawn Avenue and observed the Cadillac fleeing north on Jefferson Avenue. They pursued it to Brunswick Boulevard and Lonsdale Road. The occupants fled on foot but were arrested nearby.
Charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fifth-degree possession of stolen property are: three 16-year-old youths; Derrick Young, 19, and Trevonn Jackson, 18, both of Buffalo.
One of the minors observed discarding a BB gun also faces a charge of first-degree robbery.
