A Youngstown man on probation on a 2011 attempted robbery conviction in Niagara County has pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in a West Seneca home invasion.

Jason Kester, 31, admitted last week that on Dec. 15 he forced his way into a 74-year-old woman’s home, which police said was in the Fisher Court subdivision. He demanded her ATM car and PIN number, bound her wrists, upper body and mouth, then tried to force her into the trunk of her car, which was parked in her garage, police said.

He ran off when a relative of the victim arrived for a visit. The victim was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released.

Kester was arrested Dec. 21 by West Seneca police after they executed a search warrant at his home on Porter Center Road in Youngstown.

Kester faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 28 by Erie County Judge Michael L. D’Amico, according to District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III.
