LOCKPORT – A Lockport man who pleaded guilty to a felony count of driving while intoxicated was sentenced Wednesday by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas to five years’ probation and a $1,000 fine.
Peter L. Reed, 41, of Scovell Street, was arrested June 2 and was sent to an inpatient rehabilitation facility after his July 24 guilty plea.
In another felony driving while intoxicated case Wednesday, David J. Thorman, 39, of 79th Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty and was scheduled for sentencing March 25 by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.
Thorman was pulled over Sept. 28 in the Town of Niagara. Deputy District Attorney Theodore A. Brenner recommended a limit of one year on Thorman’s jail time, and Kloch said he’d follow that recommendation as long as Thorman stays out of trouble.
