LOCKPORT – Alvin W. Baines, 41, of 68th Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to a reduced charge connected with a Sept. 29 stabbing in the Falls.
Baines admitted to attempted second-degree assault in the knifing of John Blevins, which occurred near 47th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard.
County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas agreed to a recommendation for a one-year limit to Baines’ jail sentence, which will be imposed April 7.
