WILSON – Double steel doors were found with pry marks and damage to the door and door frame, in what appeared to be an attempted break-in just after 3 a.m. Wednesday at the Wilson Lakeside Market at 337 Lake St. in Wilson.
No entry was reported, but damage to the steel doors was listed at $2,000.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff Department an audible alarm had sounded and an exterior sliding glass door was found ajar. However a steel security bar stopped the interior door from being completely opened.
An alarm company told deputies that it received a report for tampering of the business’ phone line and an additional alarm for the receiving door on the northwest corner.
