LOCKPORT – Charles E. Griffith will be heading to state prison on felony drug charges for the third time in the past decade after his sentencing Wednesday by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Griffith, 31, of Linwood Avenue, Niagara Falls, will serve three years in prison and two years of post-release supervision for fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said he had .138 ounces of cocaine when he was arrested in Niagara Falls April 2. He forfeited $292 police found in his possession.

Assistant District Attorney Peter M. Wydysh said it was Griffith’s fourth felony conviction overall, and he also has compiled four misdemeanor convictions.
