An Elma man was arrested for drunken driving and other charges after he drove his car into a ditch Monday night on Willardshire Road in the town of Aurora, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Brandon J. Lutz, 32, registered a blood alcohol level of 0.21 percent, more than twice the legal limit, deputies said. Deputies, who responded to a call at 10:20 p.m. about a car in a ditch, charged Lutz with aggravated DWI because of the high alcohol reading, imprudent speed and failure to maintain the road.
Lutz, who was not injured, was released on appearance tickets for Aurora Town Court.
