A Buffalo man has been charged with stealing $23,000 during a break-in last year at a Grider Street home and warning the victim last summer not to testify against him, then firing two shots at her in an effort to intimidate her.

Maurice Brice, 30, of Person Street, was indicted on charges of second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, second-degree weapon possession and third-degree intimidation of a victim, according to Erie County District Attorney Frank E. Sedita III. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

Brice is accused of breaking into the home and taking the cash on March 26, 2012. He was arrested last May on burglary and grand larceny charges, prosecutors said.

On July 1, he warned the victim and fired the shots at her, according to the indictment.

He will be arraigned Tuesday by Erie County Judge Sheila A. DiTullio.
