A man was killed Tuesday night when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a tree in Colden, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies reported.
The 42-year-old driver of the 2001 Ford Ranger pickup struck the tree near the corner of Hayes Hollow Road and Darien Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday, deputies said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
