CAMBRIA – A Town of Lockport man was killed when his motorcycle, traveling westbound on Lower Mountain Road, failed to negotiate a curve and he struck two mailboxes at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday.
Alan M. Flowers, 25, of Purdy Road, lost control and veered onto the north side of the road and struck the mailboxes, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department. He was ejected, landing in a yard on the north side in the 4500 block of Lower Mountain Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
Lower Mountain Road was closed between Green and Plank roads while the investigation was being conducted. It reopened shortly after 3:30 p.m.
