ROYALTON – Two all-terrain vehicles stolen from a Town of Niagara residence were found hidden in tall brush on a Tonawanda Creek Road property Friday morning, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.
About 4 a.m. Friday, the Tonawanda Creek Road property owner awakened by barking dogs spotted a man wearing a black ski mask peering into one of his windows, deputies said. He onfronted the masked man, who fled, deputies said., After daylight, the homeowner discovered two four-wheel ATVs in tall brush just off the roadway. The ATVs, valued at $9,500, had been stolen hours earlier from a Saunders Settlement Road address, deputies said.
