TOWN OF LOCKPORT – The sound of something breaking early Saturday alerted a Dysinger Road man to a burglary in his apartment, police said.
The victim told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that he was awakened shortly after 1 a.m. and went downstairs, where he saw a man carrying his 37-inch flat-screen television out the door. The burglar dropped the set momentarily, but picked it up and fled across the front lawn of the building, police added.
Deputies said a front window was broken. The loss was estimated $300.
