Six concertgoers were arrested after tussling with security personnel in separate incidents during a concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center Wednesday night, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office reported.
In one of the more violent altercations, Emily L. Simmons of Springville allegedly grabbed a security guard by the head and then kicked several security guards and deputies. The 21-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment and jailed in lieu of $250 bail.
In another, a 49-year-old Clarence man allegedly pushed a security guard and hit another in the face. David J. Irwin, of Pinyon Court in Clarence Center, was charged with two counts of second degree Harassment.
Also arrested during the concert, a performance by the pop rock band Maroon 5, were Patrick P. Sheridan, 45, of Clarence Center; Joseph M. Ciliberto, 42, of Orchard Park; 22-year-old Kara M. Balog of Springville; and Webster resident Amanda N. Hayden, 21.
Four additional attendees were issued citations for possession of alcohol under age 21. Another was cited for using another’s license.
