WARSAW – A Webster man was arrested Sunday for failing to register as a convicted sex offender, authorities said.
Timothy J. Welch, 31, was remanded to Wyoming County Jail when ebster police arrested him following a brief foot chase about 2:20 a.m., authorities said. He was turned over to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant citing him for felony failure to register after he moved to a new address following his his recent release from jail in an unrelated case.
Welch, who is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail, faces an Oct. 7 appearance in Warsaw Village Court.
